SAP and Gireve establish roaming alliance

SAP is broadening its collaboration with the French roaming platform Gireve by integrating its standard electromobility solution with Gireve's services. This partnership opens the door to new networks and alliances.
Previously, in 2019, SAP France had connected its electromobility research solution to Gireve's platform to enhance the visibility of the charging infrastructure in France. The recently expanded partnership, now utilizing the updated OCPI 2.2.1 protocol, aims to enhance SAP's service capabilities and offer access to over 536,000 charging points for its customers.
The eMobility module from SAP is tailored for charging point operators (CPOs) and e-mobility service providers (eMSPs) to facilitate the management of charging networks. This module simplifies station management, optimizes charging processes, and offers comprehensive pricing and billing services. A press release notes that the integration with Gireve will broaden SAP's coverage of public charging infrastructure for CPOs and eMSPs.
"SAP E-Mobility provides a secure, scalable, and open platform to support mobility operations. By extending our trusted partnership with Gireve, we are incorporating essential features into our latest E-Mobility platform. This collaboration will ensure our corporate clients and e-mobility partners can efficiently handle any charging scenario," stated Ulrich Scholl, VP and Chief Product Manager for SAP E-Mobility.
Thibault Lemierre, Senior Business Development Manager BeLux at Gireve, added, "Through our longstanding partnership, SAP has effectively supported a vast network of CPOs across Europe. Together, we are now addressing new challenges in e-mobility, such as Plug & Charge, Advanced Clearing Services, and Smart Charging solutions, to remain at the forefront of innovation in the industry."
Gireve recently revealed its operations across 35 countries and its connectivity to 536,000 charging points, with partners including Tesla, Fastned, and Ionity.'
