What are Features of Senku EV Charging Connector

The EV plug is made of durable PC material, resistant to impact, weather, and temperature changes, ensuring a longer lifespan. It meets UL94-V0 flame retardancy standards and features a one-piece, injection-molded shell for stability and safety.

Ordinary plastic lacks hardness, durability, and UV resistance, which can lead to cracks and poor flame retardancy, posing a fire hazard. Additionally, the two-piece design reduces waterproof performance.

The EV charging connector's terminal is made of H62 copper brass and plated with a 3mm silver layer, providing low contact resistance and effective current conduction. The terminals will not turn black or age, even during prolonged charging.

Ordinary copper brass with uneven silver plating reduces terminal strength, leading to deformation, breakage, poor conductivity, and potential issues such as loose connections and overheating.

The 99.99% pure copper core offers low resistance and high conductivity, minimizing wire loss and heat during charging. The TPU outer jacket meets ROHS and REACH standards, providing excellent resistance to wear, weather, UV, and flames.

Poor copper cores have low conductivity, high resistance, and high levels of impurities, making cables prone to overheating. The outer jacket of the cable is made of recycled materials, which are not durable and are prone to cracking.

Understanding various EV charging connectors (EV charging plug and charging sockets) is important for electric vehicle owners, charging station suppliers or installers and policy makers, because It is the physical connection between the EV charger and the electric car, allowing electricity to flow from the charger to the EV car. The Type 1 EV charging coupler, also called the J-plug, is designed according to the SAE J1772 standard and is used for single-phase 120V or 240V AC charging.
The Type 2 electric car plug and charging socket follow the IEC 62196 standard and are mainly used for both single-phase (240V) or three-phase (480V) AC charging.
The GB/T 20234 standard AC EV charging connector has 7 holes, similar to the Type 2 design but not exactly the same.

Combined Charging System (CCS):
CCS supports charging electric vehicles with Combo 1 and Combo 2 connectors at up to 60 kW or 600 kW. The system extends the EV inlet charging socket with two additional DC contacts below the existing AC and communication contacts.
GB/T 20234 DC connector is designed by China, this connector features a 9-hole design that is entirely different from the AC connector. It supports DC fast charging from 80A to 500A.
CHAdeMO was proposed as as a global industry standard by an association of the same name, which includes five major Japanese automakers, the original CHAdeMO 1.0 standard can deliver up to 62.5 kW at 500V and 125A of direct current using a specialized CHAdeMO connector. The updated CHAdeMO 2.0 specification supports up to 400 kW at 1000V direct current (DC).
