PowerGo Opens Largest Fast-Charging Park in Europe

Dutch charging point operator PowerGo has launched its biggest high-power charging (HPC) facility in Europe. Located on the Danish E20 motorway at Lillebælt, the new fast-charging hub features seven chargers, each capable of delivering 400 kW of power, with two charging points per unit.
PowerGo secured the project through a successful tender bid from the Danish Public Roads Administration (Vejdirektoratet) earlier this year. The fast-charging site at Lillebælt Syd is now part of PowerGo's growing network of public charging stations.
The charging park is strategically positioned on the E20 motorway, a key route within the European transport network (TEN-T). The site is equipped with seven Alpitronic High Power Chargers, each capable of delivering up to 400 kW, and all featuring two CCS charging points. Additionally, each unit offers a CHAdeMO connector with 60 kW capacity. Six of the fourteen covered parking spaces are designed for longer vehicles, such as electric cars towing trailers.
Users can pay via charging cards or apps from roaming partners, although the specific partners were not disclosed. The PowerGo app offers dynamic pricing, reflecting hourly electricity market rates for transparency and fairness. Customers can also pay using debit or credit cards for one-time charging, though pricing details were not included in the company's press release.
This marks PowerGo's second collaboration with Vejdirektoratet, following the opening of a similar HPC charging park in Haderup along Route 34. The Lillebælt site is part of PowerGo's broader initiative to establish a European-wide charging network, which includes winning eighteen tenders to install over 1,600 public charging stations across Denmark.
