New York City: Toyota drivers can charge for free at Revel station
Toyota Motor North America has partnered with charge point operator Revel to provide drivers of Toyota and Lexus battery electric vehicles (BEVs) with complimentary charging at Revel's fast charging stations in New York City for a three-year period, ending on October 14, 2027.
Toyota has been an investor in Revel since 2019 through its venture capital firm, Toyota Ventures. Revel boasts the largest network of public fast-charging stations in New York City, featuring four high-capacity locations that are operational 24/7 and equipped with both NACS and CCS plug types.
In the U.S., Toyota offers the bZ4X and Lexus RZ models. The bZ4X emerged as the best-selling "electrified" vehicle for Toyota Motors North America in September, with 1,324 units sold. Since January, TMNA has sold a total of 13,577 bZ4X vehicles, although not all were sold in New York City.
"Ensuring a seamless charging experience is vital for customer satisfaction," stated Christopher Yang, group vice president of Toyota EV Charging Solutions. "Partnering with Revel will enhance the charging experience for our customers in New York City and highlight Toyota's dedication to promoting sustainable mobility solutions and improving the ownership experience."
Revel currently operates 64 fast chargers in New York City and recently launched a charging hub with ten Kempower Satellite chargers in Lower Manhattan. Additionally, the company has plans to develop one of its 'Superhubs' in Downtown Los Angeles.
