IKEA announced that it would cooperate with electrify America to install public ultra fast charging piles for electric vehicles in more than 25 stores in the United States.
So far, IKEA has 141 pcs level2 charging piles in all its stores in the United States. The company will add 200 independent public ultra fast charging piles in its stores to provide customers in 18 states with fast charging speeds of 150 kW to 350 kW. These states include Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington. The first batch of public ultra fast charging piles is expected to be put into use by the end of 2022, and all installation works will be completed by the end of 2023.
