State Grid of China: Hubei and other three provinces and cities pilot the implementation of electric vehicle peak shifting EV charging, covering nearly 350000 EV charging stations.
On August 19, it was reported that under the influence of high temperature weather, the power load of many provinces reached new highs. In order to ensure the safe operation of the power grid during peak power consumption, the State Grid of China has piloted the implementation of electric vehicle peak avoiding charging in some high-temperature and high load provinces.
The first three peak shifting EV charging provinces and cities to carry out the pilot are Chongqing, Zhejiang and Hubei. The EV charging stations output power will be appropriately adjusted from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm during the peak period of power consumption to stabilize the peak load of power consumption.
