Leave a message

BP pulse, a subsidiary of BP focused on electric vehicle charging solutions, has partnered with the Simon Property Group, the largest shopping mall operator in the US, to establish a comprehensive network of ultra-fast charging stations across America. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility to high-speed charging infrastructure for electric vehicle (EV) drivers nationwide.

The collaboration between bp pulse and Simon Property Group will see the deployment of over 900 ultra-fast charging points at 75 strategic locations throughout the USA. The first wave of these stations is set to be operational by early 2026, providing EV users with convenient access to reliable charging facilities.

Utilizing bp pulse's advanced energy management system, Omega, the charging stations will optimize energy usage on-site, ensuring efficient operations and minimizing environmental impact. These stations will be prominently featured within Simon Property Group's expansive portfolio of shopping malls and retail destinations, accessible via bp pulse's app and Simon Property Group's dedicated webpage.

Richard Bartlett, CEO of BP pulse, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership's potential impact on expanding the EV charging network in key US regions. "We are delighted to collaborate with Simon to expand our ultra-fast charging footprint across major US regions," Bartlett stated. "This strategic alliance underscores bp pulse's commitment to providing robust charging infrastructure in high-traffic areas, enabling EV drivers to seamlessly integrate charging with their shopping and travel experiences."

Simon Property Group, known for its forward-thinking approach to sustainability, has previously partnered with Mercedes-Benz HPC North America to support the establishment of an extensive high-power charging (HPC) network in the United States. This new collaboration with bp pulse marks another significant step in enhancing EV charging accessibility within Simon's retail environments.

While focusing on bolstering its presence in the US market, bp pulse continues to pursue global charging infrastructure initiatives. Recent endeavors include the opening of its largest charging hub in the UK and entry into the French market. With a strategic shift towards prioritizing growth in key markets such as the US, UK, China, and Germany, bp pulse aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles by expanding its network in regions poised for rapid EV market expansion.

As the demand for sustainable transportation solutions grows, partnerships like bp pulse and Simon Property Group's collaboration are pivotal in driving the development of reliable and accessible EV charging infrastructure across the United States.
