BMW Group has formed a strategic partnership with VEMO, a public charging station operator in Mexico, to enhance the country's EV charging network. This collaboration will see BMW invest in establishing 144 new charging stations across various venues, including restaurants, shopping centers, hotels, and office buildings.

These new additions will expand the existing VEMO network, which already includes over 500 charging stations accessible to BMW Group Mexico customers. The investment aligns with BMW's 30th anniversary in Mexico and a decade of selling fully electric vehicles in the region. Diego Camargo, CEO of BMW Group Mexico, highlighted that BMW now offers the largest range of battery-electric and plug-in hybrid models among premium brands.

This initiative is part of a broader investment of €724,000 by BMW Group into Latin America's charging infrastructure, covering a total of 251 new stations across Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.
