Ampeco Secures E.ON Drive Infrastructure as Client

Bulgarian startup Ampeco has been chosen by E.ON Drive Infrastructure (EDRI) to provide its charging management platform for E.ON's European-wide CPO operations. E.ON operates over 6,000 public charging stations across 11 countries in Europe.
The collaboration is aimed at helping E.ON streamline its operations and maintain a high level of network reliability while catering to the needs of its diverse customer base. While Ampeco hasn't specified exactly how EDRI will utilize its platform, past partnerships, such as with EVBox, suggest that their white-label solution will give E.ON more control over its charging infrastructure. This control includes configuring charge points, implementing tailored payment solutions, and providing real-time cost and tariff information to users.
Ampeco CEO Orlin Radev recently discussed how the platform helps charging operators handle the complex landscape of regulations surrounding payments, security, and EV infrastructure.
"E.ON needed a scalable platform that could support future growth, and Ampeco delivers the flexibility to create customized solutions for our customers," said Arjan van der Eijk, Managing Director of E.ON Drive Infrastructure. The company plans to add another 1,000 fast chargers in the coming years, all of which will be managed through Ampeco's platform.
Migrating E.ON's pan-European network required detailed planning, said Lukas Gläsel, Product Owner at E.ON Drive Infrastructure. With Ampeco's expertise and support, the transition was seamless, ensuring minimal disruptions.
Ampeco's CEO, Orlin Radev, expressed excitement over the partnership, emphasizing how it reflects their commitment to providing scalable, advanced solutions for large-scale charging operators like E.ON.
Founded in 2018, Ampeco has attracted investments from companies such as BMW and recently formed a strategic partnership with Hubject, allowing operators to use both Hubject's network and Ampeco's charging management platform under one contract.
