Whether the "emergency stop" button of the EV charger can be cancelled has always been a controversial topic.
The "emergency stop" button of the charging station is a button used to immediately stop the operation of the charging station in emergency situations. When there is an abnormal situation or danger at the EV charger, pressing the emergency stop button can cut off the power and prevent the accident from further expanding.
The traditional method of using the "emergency stop" button on a EV charger is to press the button and retract it slightly, causing the station to stop charging and display a "red light" warning; After the "emergency stop" button is retracted, manual intervention is required to rotate counterclockwise half a circle to clear the alarm.

Regarding emergency stop, some charging station manufacturers have provided feedback that it is not necessary to use the traditional red headed "button", nor is it necessary to press it and then rotate it counterclockwise to reset. After pressing the "emergency stop" button, the power grid input and charging pile output can be disconnected within 100ms. So some manufacturers have made different emergency stop buttons, such as:
1. The emergency stop button has been converted into a start/stop button. One click charging, one click stopping. Press once to charge, press again to stop charging. This metal button is not self resetting to distinguish between the start and stop states.
The red light warning is still designed, and after the emergency stop is pressed, the fault will also be reported to the charging transfer management background, and the button needs to be pressed again to restore it.

2. Make the metal button into a thin film switch, and this small button only stops the function.
