The liquid cooled charging system of the charging gun consists of a liquid cooled charging gun (vehicle plug), coolant, liquid cooled cable, overall cooling system (thermal management system, including circulation pump, storage tank, radiator, etc.), charging gun core flow channel structure, tail cable locking structure, and temperature control.

The traditional CCS Type 2 Electric Car Charging Plugs generally has a current of less than 250A, while the super fast charging gun produced by Senku Machinery can reach a current of 500A, and the charging contact position will generate a large amount of heat. To reduce the temperature around the terminal and solve the heat dissipation problem of the charging gun under high current, liquid cooling tubes are usually added around the terminal. High specific heat capacity liquids such as silicone oil, water, or ethylene glycol circulate in the liquid cooling tubes to lower the terminal temperature and ensure the normal operation of the charging gun.

The CCS Type 2 500A Electric Car Charging Plug contains one liquid cooled cable DC+, one DC -, one ground wire, and several signal wires inside. One end of the liquid cooled cable is connected to the charging station busbar through the charging station side terminal, and the other end is the charging gun terminal, which is built into the charging gun housing. The terminals, liquid cooled cables, and charging station terminals inside the liquid cooled charging gun are sealed and connected.
