This 3.5KW Type 1 To Type 2 Charging Cable use to charge a SAE j1772 type 1 electric vehicle on a Mode3 EV charger which have a type2 outlet socket as the following picture show:

Type 2 type 1 EV Charging Cable
US standard plug end (5 pins, Type 1 J1772, Female) use for US electric (or hybrid) cars.
EU standard plug end ( 7pins, Type 2 IEC62196-2, Male) for connecting plug of EV stations.
It is use to charge a Type 1 car on a Type2 socket EV station.
Type 2 type 1 EV adapter
US standard plug end (5 pins, Type 1 J1772, Female) use for US electric (or hybrid) cars.
