Zunder Unveils Spain's Largest Fast Charging Hub
Zunder, a leading player in EV charging infrastructure, has launched the largest high-power charging (HPC) station in Spain, located in Oviedo, in the northern part of the country. The new charging hub features 36 HPC connections, including twelve capable of delivering up to 400 kW, and twenty-four providing up to 160 kW.

Situated at the Parque Principado shopping center, the site is conveniently located near major highways, the A-66 and A-64, making it easily accessible for EV drivers traveling across the region. Zunder highlights the new park as a key addition to its network, reinforcing its position as a leader in Spain's EV infrastructure. The site further supports EV connectivity along the country's primary travel routes.
The strategic placement of this charging hub, near key traffic arteries, ensures that drivers have quick access to charging while on the go. Additionally, its proximity to the shopping center is expected to benefit local retail, as it provides EV owners with convenient access to amenities like restaurants, cafés, entertainment areas, and more.
The new charging park offers a total of 36 ultra-fast charging stations. Of these, twelve stations feature up to 400 kW of charging power, while twenty-four stations operate with a 160 kW output. All points are equipped with Plug&Charge functionality, enabling automatic charging when connected. For added convenience, the chargers also include credit card terminals for pay-as-you-go users.
Zunder has ambitious expansion plans, fueled by a €225 million loan from Banco Santander secured this year, following the support of French investor Mirova two years ago. The company aims to add 3,000 more charging points across France, Italy, and Portugal in the coming years.
