BYD Launches Five New Energy Vehicle Models in Tunisia
BYD has introduced a range of five new energy vehicles (NEVs) to the Tunisian market during a brand revitalization press conference. The lineup includes three battery electric vehicles (BEVs): the Tang, Dolphin, and Yuan PLUS (known locally as BYD ATTO 3), along with two plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs): the Destroyer 05 (BYD KING in Tunisia) and Song PLUS DM-i.
This event not only enhanced BYD's brand and product offerings in Tunisia but also signified a major move in BYD's efforts to strengthen its presence in the local new energy market and support global green travel initiatives. This follows Tunisian President Kais Saied's visit to BYD's global headquarters earlier in June.
The newly launched NEV models cater to a wide range of Tunisian consumer needs. The lineup includes the mid-size SUV Tang, the compact and practical SUV Yuan PLUS, and the spacious hatchback Dolphin. The Destroyer 05, making its debut in Africa, features a marine-inspired design and advanced DM-i super hybrid technology, earning immediate praise. The Destroyer 05 and the mid-size SUV Song PLUS DM-i, both equipped with DM-i super hybrid technology, complement each other perfectly.
