These charging stations can quickly charge electric vehicles equipped with 800V or higher voltage, support 5C charging, and 600A current, achieving "a cup of coffee, fully charged departure".
A super fast charging vehicle that supports voltages of 800V and above, with only one vehicle charging, can achieve a charging power of 600kW.
The above charging current of 600A is based on liquid cooled charging stations and charging gun wires; However, the cost of liquid cooled charging stations is relatively high, so some charging station manufacturers have come up with more cost-effective alternative methods:
For example, design a 250A non liquid cooled gun to allow a short-term charging current of up to 400A, such as allowing 400A for 10 minutes and then reducing the rating to 250A after 10 minutes.
Some manufacturers have proven that the above methods are feasible. Similarly, if there is a 375A charging plug cable, the charging power can reach 375kW. Therefore, it is necessary to develop and manufacture such a common non liquid cooled high current plug.
