Although 50kW DC charging was considered adequate in the past, modern public charging stations now deliver power outputs of 150-350kW or more. Lliquid-cooled charging system
The liquid-cooled charging system consists of three main components: a liquid-cooled source, a liquid-cooled cable, and the liquid-cooled electric car plug. The system operates by establishing a dedicated liquid circulation channel between the cable and the dc fast charging plug, filled with coolant. As the current passes through the cable and charging gun during the charging process, heat is generated. This heat is absorbed by the coolant, which then circulates back to the liquid cooling source, effectively dissipating the heat generated during the charging cycle.
Given the mechanical friction that occurs when the charging gun is inserted, the terminals and wires are secured in place, while maintaining dust-proof and waterproof features. In some cases, high thermal conductivity sealant is applied inside the gun head to improve its durability and performance.



Contact resistance plays a crucial role in assessing the connection quality between cables and terminals, as it directly affects heat generation at the connection points. To minimize heat buildup and enhance current-carrying capacity, Senku adopts ultrasonic welding for the cables and terminals of its Liquid Cooled 500A 600A CCS electric vehicle charging plug.
