The working principle of the liquid cooled charging connector is to use an electronic pump to drive the circulation of coolant. When the liquid cooled cable transmits a large current, the coolant will absorb the heat generated and transfer it back to the coolant container. Subsequently, the hot coolant is driven again to the radiator for cooling treatment through an electronic pump. This cyclic process ensures that it can carry high current transmission even under small cable cross-sectional area conditions, while effectively suppressing temperature rise, meeting the technical requirements of high performance and low heat generation.






What are the advantages of liquid cooled supercharging?
1. Higher current and faster charging speed.
The maximum continuous charging current of a regular air-cooled charging gun can only reach 400A, but a Liquid Cooled HPC DC Charging Connector can reach 500A or even 600A.
2. The Charging Connector is lighter in weight.
The output current of the charging station is limited by the Charging Connector Cable. The copper cable inside the charging plug wire conducts electricity, and the heating of the cable is proportional to the square of the current. The larger the charging current, the greater the heating of the cable. To reduce the heating of the cable and avoid overheating, it is necessary to increase the cross-sectional area of the wire, and of course, the heavier the gun cable. The ultimate solution for high current charging can only be liquid cooled charging gun charging.
The liquid cooled charging gun has cables and liquid cooled pipes inside, which carry away heat through the flow of coolant inside the pipes. So the cable of the liquid cooled charging gun is thin, and the liquid cooled charging gun is 30% to 40% lighter than conventional charging guns.
3. Low heat generation, fast heat dissipation, and high safety
The pile bodies of conventional charging piles and semi liquid cooled charging piles are air-cooled for heat dissipation. Air enters the pile body from one side, blows away the heat of electrical components and rectifier modules, and dissipates from the other side of the pile body. The air will be mixed with dust, salt spray, and water vapor and adsorbed on the surface of internal components, resulting in poor insulation and heat dissipation of the system, low charging efficiency, and reduced equipment lifespan. For conventional charging stations or semi liquid cooled charging stations, heat dissipation and protection are two contradictory concepts. Good protection makes heat dissipation difficult to design, and good heat dissipation makes protection difficult to handle.
The fully liquid cooled charging station adopts a liquid cooled charging module. There are no air ducts on the front and back of the liquid cooled module. The module exchanges heat with the outside world through the circulating coolant inside the liquid cooled plate. Therefore, the power part of the charging station can be fully enclosed. The radiator is external, and the heat is carried to the radiator by the coolant inside, while the heat on the surface of the radiator is blown away by the external air. The liquid cooled charging module and electrical accessories inside the charging pile are not in contact with the external environment, thus achieving IP65 protection and higher reliability.
The high-power liquid cooled fast charging technology injects a large amount of electrical energy into electric vehicles in a very short period of time due to its excellent performance.
