Definition: Flame retardancy describes how effectively a material resists ongoing burning, though it does not imply that the material is entirely immune to ignition. Flame retardant ratings indicate how well a substance or material can delay the progression of flames once it has been treated. This classification system includes various grades for plastics, which range incrementally from HB to V-2, V-1, and finally V-0.
GBT charging cable Flame retardance UL94-V0 Test program:
A total of 10 samples (2 sets) are tested for each thickness. Five samples of each thickness were placed at 23 ℃ and 50% RH for 48 hours before testing. Five samples of each thickness were placed at 70 ℃ for 7 days before testing.
Place the sample perpendicular to the long axis and install it. When installing, place the lower end of the sample at a distance of 3/8 from the top of the combustion tube. Place a blue flame with a height of 3/4 at the center of the lower end of the sample, burn for 10 seconds, and then remove the flame (at least 152mm away from the sample); If the sample drips down one by one, the liquid drips onto a layer of untreated cotton underneath the sample, which is placed 12 inches below the sample.
Level requirement: 94V-0
A: No sample had flames burning for more than 10 seconds (with flame burning time) after the test flame was removed.
B: For each set of 5 samples, the total burning time with flames after 10 ignitions shall not exceed 50 seconds
C: No samples burned all the way to the fixture (including flames and redness)
D: Without any samples, the burning and melting droplets ignited the cotton at 12 inches below.
E: There were no samples, and after the second removal of the test flame, they continued to burn red for more than 30 seconds (flameless combustion time).
