Eleport Expands Into Croatia And Slovenia With TurboVolt Takeover

Leave a message

Eleport has expanded its operations into Croatia and Slovenia by acquiring the Austrian charging infrastructure company TurboVolt. This move is part of Eleport's broader strategy to grow its presence in Europe. Initially, the company plans to establish 17 charging parks at Supernova and SES shopping centers in these two countries.

The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Instead, Eleport emphasized its focus on expanding its network across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Jakub Miler, Eleport's CEO, highlighted that this acquisition marks a significant step toward becoming the leading EV charging network in the CEE region. TurboVolt's CEO, Anthony Hinde, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that together they will offer top-tier high-speed charging solutions in markets that urgently need them.

Previously, in June, it was revealed that TurboVolt would be installing charging infrastructure at three Supernova shopping centers in Zagreb and Zadar (Croatia) and Ljubljana (Slovenia). Each location will feature twelve charging stations supplied by Kempower. Eleport confirmed that these plans remain unchanged but also announced that they intend to develop a total of 17 charging parks across Croatia and Slovenia, with each new site also expected to have twelve charging stations offering up to 300 kW of power. However, it remains unclear whether Kempower will supply all these new locations or when these additional charging parks will be operational.

With the acquisition of TurboVolt, Eleport now operates in six European countries, including Poland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The company currently manages over 800 charging stations, with plans to increase this number to 1,350 by the end of the year. This growth will be driven by the recent acquisition and through strategic partnerships. For example, in June, Eleport announced plans to install charging points at 70 Carrefour locations across 65 cities in Poland, which will add 170 charging points to the network by 2025.
