BYD Electric Vehicle Enters Indian Market
Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD will launch its first electric SUV - ATTO 3 model in India, marking that the company has entered India, the world's fourth largest automobile market, in a broader global expansion.
Previously, in India's electric vehicle market dominated by Tata Motors, BYD has launched electric buses and other electric vehicles for enterprise fleets. Now, BYD will launch the Atto 3 electric SUV in India. On October 10, BYD launched this model in Thailand.
At the same time, BYD is promoting wider global expansion. The company has started selling electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles around the world, including Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Brazil, Costa Rica and Colombia. Earlier this year, BYD said that it would start selling its electric passenger cars in Japan from 2023, and planned to build a factory in Thailand to produce 150000 cars a year in Thailand from 2024.
