China had deployed 3.98 million EV charging piles
According to the data of China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance (EVCIPA), by the end of July 2022, China had deployed 3.98 million EV charging piles (including AC charging piles and DC charging piles), an increase of 97.5% over the same period last year.

In the first seven months of 2022, there were about 1.362 million new charging piles in China (a year-on-year increase of 308.3%), including 428000 public piles (a year-on-year increase of 199.2%) and 934000 private piles (a year-on-year increase of 390.1%).

Last month, China deployed about 47000 new public EV charging piles, an increase of 65.7% year-on-year.
After summarizing the data provided by the alliance members, EVCIPA reported that as of July 2022, the total number of public charging piles in China was 1.575 million, including 68400 DC charging piles, 890000 AC charging piles and 485 DC-AC integrated charging piles.
In the year ending July 2022, an average of 52000 public EV charger will be built every month.

In terms of the capacity of EV charging stations in July 2022, the top 10 provinces or municipalities were the same as last month. Guangdong Province has built 18337 EV charging stations in the whole province, ranking a leading position, while Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces have built more than 7000 EV charging stations.
