V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) lets your electric car supply power to external equipment by using bidirectional charging. In practice, the vehicle's traction battery is converted into usable AC power for appliances, turning the car into a mobile energy source for home or outdoor use. Most vehicles need a dedicated V2L adapter (or built-in V2L capability) to access this function - you cannot simply plug household devices into the charging inlet without the proper hardware.
Q: What do I need to enable bidirectional power?
You require a car that supports bidirectional output and either the manufacturer's V2L feature or a compatible V2L adapter. Both the vehicle and the adapter must be designed for two-way power flow.
Q: Do all EVs offer V2L?
